Wishing Tree
Step 1. Paint branch
Cut branches off a flowering plum tree in my yard. You don't have to buy a branch you can just look around for a good branch to cut off. I spray painted the branch with silver metallic spray paint.
Step 2. Wishing tags.
I made 3 different types of tags. Well that is 3 different ribbon types. To incorporate the three colors of my sisters wedding. I cut them using a paper cutter measuring them to 2 1/2 x 5. Using a stamp I found at Michaels in the dollar stamp bin. I embossed it using an embossing pad. Then sprinkling silver metallic embossing powder on it and heating it to make it raised and shiny. I then proceeded to cut the ribbon in the desired length and tie them through a whole I made using a rectangular whole puncher.
Step 4. Crystals
I bought thes crystazzi crystals on sale at michaels for 50% off. They are normally 3.99. The crystals come on invisible wire, so I just used the wire to tie to the branches.
Step 4.
I put the branches in a tall cylinder vase with some decorative rocks. I found the rocks at Michaels for 50% off, they have all of their Ashland products for 50% off. Which is pretty much everything in their spring aisle.
Step 5. Sign
I found this picture frame at Marshalls for I believe 6 dollars. Using the computer I printed the phrase on to pink card stock. Embossed a cross onto the paper. The cross I found in the dollar stamp bin at Michaels too. I love Michaels!!! If you can't make it out. It says please write down your wishes and dreams for the newly married couple Joshua and Tracy.
Step 6. Arrangement
I found this tray and canister at Ross for under 8 dollars for the both of them. I know what a steal!! This is how the tags will be displayed on the table at the wedding. I will be decorating pens with ribbon and flowers to put in the canister. So stay tuned for that project.
Step 7. Flower Pens
Flower Pens. I wrapped fake flower stems around a pen using tape and then wrapping the ribbon, hot glueing the ends in place.
Step 8. Finished Product
Picture doesn't do it justice. The crystals really sparkle with the light.
