Bridesmaid Gift Baskets
Found this basket at Dollar Tree. We added ribbon to the outside and tied a bow.
These little Jewelry boxes we found at Michaels for a dollar a piece. But the very next day we were at Joanns and they had a packet of 6 for 3 dollars and I think they were 40 % off. Joanns is much cheaper than Michaels in quite a few areas. We had already painted ours so we couldn't return them.
Step 1. Paint the boxes
Using the same metallic plum paint I used for the card box, we painted the jewelry boxes.
Step 2. Add ribbon
We glued ribbon to the inside of the top and bottom boxes.
Step 3. Adorning the boxes
These are Crystazzi brand fake pearls found at Michaels in the jewelry aisle for 3.99.
Step 5. Initials in pearls
We hot glued the pearls on the box making each individual initial for the bridesmaids.
Step 6. Filling the box
We place a store bought pearl necklace in the box. Add whatever you like. We also put some tissue paper in the box to give it a fuller look.
Found these iron ons at Joanns for 1.99 and the pink tank tops at Wal-mart for 4.50. Ironing on crystals were much harder then plain old letters so make sure you take your time and read the directions. We had to redo one because it wasn't sticking.
Finished product. Well almost.
Inside the basket are a pair of old navy flip flops for them to wear when we get our nails done and if they want to take their heels off at the reception. A pink tank top that says bridesmaid, matching pajama shorts for all the girs, the pearl necklace and gift box. A messaging tool and eye mask. (found at Michaels in their lovely dollar section, such cute spring stuff right now). A bottled water with pink ribbon tied around it. We are going to add a little survival kit with hairspray, chapstick, things like that to include also and whatever else we find along the way. We will put these on their beds in the hotel room for when they check in. With a handmade note by Tracy, I'll have to make her get on that ha ha. I am a MOHzilla.
